Two auto parts plants in Indiana are announcing layoffs that will affect hundreds of employees.

Guardian Industries which makes car windows in Noble County will idle 130 workers. Guardian says it's not sure how long the layoffs will last because of uncertainty surrounding Chrysler's bankruptcy filing and General Motors' factory shutdowns.

Advanced Assembly in Whitley County laid off 200 people from its seat systems factory. The company says most of its business is with GM's assembly plant in Fort Wayne. It plans to recall workers when the Fort Wayne plant resumes production.
